2024 Spring Schedule Unveiled for Women’s Tennis

Kentucky women’s tennis has announced its 2024 spring schedule, and fans can expect an exciting season with 10 home matches and 11 on the road. The team will be gearing up for the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Athens, Ga., which will begin on April 17.

The season will start off with a bang as the Wildcats play three consecutive matches at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. They will be hosting ETSU and Miami (Ohio) for a doubleheader on January 14, followed by a match against Penn State on January 20.

After their home matches, the Wildcats will hit the road and travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the ITA Kickoff. The two-day kickoff, on January 26-27, will feature matches against Charlotte, UNC, and Oregon.

In February, the team will take a road trip to New York, N.Y., where they will face Columbia on February 2 and Princeton on February 4. They will then return home for a matchup against Wichita State on February 9. Those who qualify will head to Seattle, Wash. for the ITA National Indoor Championships, which will take place from February 9-12. The Wildcats’ final non-conference match of the spring will be against in-state foe Eastern Kentucky on February 17.

After a short break, SEC play will begin on March 1, with the Wildcats facing Auburn and Alabama on the road. They will then return to Lexington to host Vanderbilt on March 10, followed by matches against Mississippi State on March 15 and Ole Miss on March 17. The team will then travel to LSU on March 22 before facing Texas A&M on March 24. Their remaining matches in March will be against Missouri on March 29, Arkansas on March 31, South Carolina on April 5, and Florida on April 7.

The final two matches of the spring season will take place at Tennessee on April 12 and Georgia on April 14, leading up to the SEC Tournament, which will be held from April 17-21.
