ACC Weekly Honors Awarded to Herkle, Sneden, and Gizzi

Louisville, KY – Kim Herkle of the University of Louisville has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Herkle, a junior from Stuttgart, Germany, put on an impressive performance in Louisville’s recent victory over Missouri on the weekend. She claimed first place finishes and achieved NCAA B-cut times in three events, the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 400 IM.

In securing the top spot on the podium, Herkle posted times of 1:00.52, 2:09.82, and 4:12.72 in the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 400 IM, respectively. These times currently rank in the top 50, top 30, and top 35 in the nation.

The University of Louisville also saw success in the Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week categories. Adam Sneden, a graduate student from Charlotte, N.C., emerged as the Men’s Diver of the Week. Sneden claimed victory in the 3-meter event with a score of 352.35 and secured second place in the 1-meter event with a score of 297.75.

Lindsay Gizzi, a junior from South Bend, Ind., was honored as the Women’s Diver of the Week. Gizzi achieved an impressive score of 308.48 in the 1-meter springboard event, earning her first place. In the 3-meter springboard event, she secured second place with a score of 312.15.

Congratulations to Kim Herkle, Adam Sneden, and Lindsay Gizzi on their outstanding performances. Their contributions have undoubtedly played a key role in the University of Louisville’s success this season.
