Hailing from Wake Forest, North Carolina, John has already made her mark on the field during the Cardinals’ fall ball schedule this year. However, fans eagerly await her official debut in the spring season.

Football season is wrapping up around the Commonwealth with at least one program securing a playoff spot and WKU still fighting for a Bowl.

Gabi Albiero, from Louisville, won the 100M butterfly, finishing with an impressive time of 59.14. She was the only swimmer in the event to go under a minute. Christiana Regenauer, also from Louisville, finished third with a time of 1:00.38. In the men’s 100M butterfly, Indiana’s Tomer Frankel took the win with a time of 52.27. Louisville’s Dalton Lowe finished third in 53.36.

Once the game begins, fans are in for a treat as they get to enjoy the impeccable commentary of the legendary Tom Leach and the esteemed Jack ‘Goose’ Givens. The Cardinals have had a strong season so far with a record of 23-3 overall and 14-2 in the ACC. They are coming off back-to-back sweeps over Duke and North Carolina, with several players stepping up offensively. Outside hitter Charitie Luper led the way with 23 kills and two aces, while middle blocker Cara Cresse won ACC Defensive Player of the Week with 17 kills and 11 blocks. Outside hitter Anna DeBeer and opposite hitter Aiko Jones also contributed to the team’s success.

Kentucky took control of the game early on, with goalkeeper Casper Mols making a crucial save in the opening 15 minutes. The breakthrough came in the 26th minute, as Ben Damge scored his first goal of the night, assisted by freshman Josh Gordon. The Wildcats went into halftime with a 1-0 lead, having recorded four shots and one save.

Kentucky showcased a well-rounded game against Texas A&M, excelling in both offense and defense. Four players reached double-digit kills, led by freshman Brooklyn DeLeye who had 18 kills and eight digs. Senior Elise Goetzinger had 13 kills with an impressive .435 hitting percentage, while Erin Lamb and Azhani Tealer contributed 12 kills each. Goetzinger and Tealer’s strong partnership in the middle proved crucial for the team’s success.
