LEXINGTON, KY – In a commanding performance, the Kentucky Wildcats secured an impressive 82-54 victory over the USC Upstate Spartans. The win improves Kentucky’s record to 2-0 in the 2023-24 season, while USC Upstate falls to 0-3.

In a highly anticipated SEC matchup, the Kentucky Wildcats faced off against the powerhouse Alabama Crimson Tide at Kroger Field in Lexington, KY. Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Wildcats ultimately fell short, losing by a final score of 49-21.

Louisville is coming off an impressive comeback win in the previous round against No. 8 Iowa. Despite trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Cardinals rallied back with a goal from Niamh Gowing in the third quarter to level the score. The game was eventually decided in double overtime when Minna Tremonti converted a penalty corner shot by Aimee Plumb. This victory has earned Louisville a spot in the quarterfinals, where they will face Northwestern.

Leading the way for Kentucky was Ajae Petty, who dominated the court with 19 points and nine rebounds. Coming off the bench, Eniya Russell had an impactful performance, contributing 14 points and grabbing nine rebounds of her own.
