Right from the opening whistle, the Cardinals set the tone for the match, displaying their attacking prowess. Their fluid passing and impeccable teamwork created numerous opportunities, leaving the Duke defense scrambling to keep up. It was only a matter of time before the Cardinals found the back of the net.

Leading the way for the Cardinals once again was Rylee Penn, who crossed the finish line with a time of 20:45.2 over the challenging 6K course. Although she narrowly missed out on All-Region honors, her consistent performance throughout the season has been commendable. Lexie Paszkiewicz also had a standout race, clocking a time of 21:05.6 to secure a 56th-place finish. This marked a significant improvement from her regional performance in 2022, as she finished over two minutes faster and nearly 100 spots higher.

White is an impressive 6-5 center and is currently ranked as the third-best prospect and top-ranked center in the state of Kentucky in the class of 2024, according to Prep Girls Hoops. She has been a standout player at Butler Traditional High School, where she has earned three letters under head coach Candyce Wheeler. Additionally, White has played on the Adidas 3SSB circuit with coach Richard Jeter.

Jenkins, Tyler, and Miles made their first career starts in the ETSU game, showcasing their potential and ability to make an impact early in the season. The Wildcats demonstrated resilience and determination as they overcame a two-point halftime deficit and battled their way to victory. This marked the first time since their historic win against Alabama in the 2023 SEC Tournament that the Cats secured a win after trailing at halftime.

Part of Baadi’s success is attributed to his consistency, work ethic, and drive, which has impressed the coaching staff. Associate Head Coach Matthew Gordon remarked, “Taha is a special person who sets the standards with his consistency, work ethic, and drive. He has the ability to bring up others with him and has the mentality needed to be a great leader.”

First up is Ellie Fazio from Horsham, Pennsylvania. Fazio, who attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy, is still undecided on her major. When asked why she chose Louisville, Fazio cited the team culture. She believes in the positive and hardworking atmosphere at Louisville and feels like the team is a true family.

In what promises to be a closely contested affair, both teams have been preparing rigorously, determined to come out on top. The Kentucky women’s basketball team has been working hard in practice, fine-tuning their skills and game plans. They are determined to showcase their talent and dominate their opponents on the court.
