The women’s team will kick off the action with a 6,000-meter race at 11:00 a.m. EDT, followed by the men’s 10,000-meter race at noon EDT. Assistant coach Hakon DeVries is hoping for a strong performance from the teams, following a disappointing showing at the conference championship meet.

Louisville Ready to Conquer NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday

On December 2, the Cardinals will start the season with a split between the Commonwealth College Opener in Louisville and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Massachusetts. After the new year, competition will resume with the Rod McCravy Memorial Invite on January 12-13 and the Bellarmine Open on January 19. The team will then host the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 26-27.

The women’s team finished 13th overall, with Rylee Penn leading the way for the second consecutive meet. Penn completed the 6K course with an impressive time of 20:56.8. Layla Roebke followed closely behind, finishing with a time of 21:27.5. It was also a noteworthy race for Amy Harding-Delooze, who entered the scoring five for the first time this season and clocked a respectable time of 21:31.0. Lexie Paszkiewicz finished in 21:35.0, and Maddie Seaby rounded out the Louisville scorers with a time of 21:49.2.
