The Wildcats will also have two national TV appearances during their opening Southeastern Conference (SEC) series. The games on March 9th and 10th will both be noon ET starts and will be aired live on SEC Network. These are just the beginning of a total of eight games that the Wildcats will have televised on SEC Network this season.

The Designated Players Club has been introduced as the official booster program for Kentucky Softball. Contributions and support from the club will help in the development of the student-athletes both on and off the field.

Coach Aprile and her team are preparing to kick off the season at the Florida Gulf Coast Kickoff Classic on February 9-10. This will be followed by a midweek matchup at FIU, and a tournament at FAU’s Joan Joyce Classic the following weekend. It’s a challenging start to the season, but the Cardinals are ready to face the competition head-on.

Fans attending the Grand Slam Social will have the opportunity to meet head coach Holly Aprile and the 2024 squad as they gear up for the upcoming season. The admission fee for the event is $30 and includes a full buffet, a special player and coach meet-and-greet, a poster, autographs, and a ticket to the women’s basketball game against Pittsburgh.

The first camp, Winter Prospect Warm up, is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2024. The session will begin at 4:00 PM ET and conclude at 6:30 PM ET. Participants are expected to arrive for check-in at 3:40 PM ET. This camp is open to students in the graduating classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027. During this session, attendees will have the chance to learn defense and offense fundamentals from the skilled Louisville Softball players and coaching staff. The format of the session will mimic that of a competitive college team practice.

The Cardinals’ 56-game slate will see them face off against five teams that were ranked in the final ESPN.com USA Softball or USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association top-25 last season. In addition, they will go up against nine NCAA tournament teams, including Women’s College World Series runner-up Florida State.
