After winning 12-9 against Pittsburgh last Sunday at L&N Stadium, the Cardinals (4-2, 1-1) earned their first-ever victory over Pittsburgh. Nicole Perroni and Hannah Morris were instrumental in the win with Perroni recording her third hat trick of the season and adding an assist, three ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers. Morris also achieved her season high with her first hat trick. Additionally, the Nakazawa sisters each scored two goals, while Kylea Dobson and Abby Scully each added one goal. Negai Nakazawa earned two ground balls, one draw control, and two caused turnovers, and Sara Addeche made nine saves in her 60-minute performance in the net.

This game will be the Cardinals’ third against a ranked opponent this season, with their previous games being a loss against No. 9 Denver and a victory against No. 25 Colorado. Louisville will attempt to beat a top-five opponent for the first time since 2016 when they defeated No. 4 Notre Dame 10-9.

Boston College (4-2, 1-1), on the other hand, dominated Brown 17-5 on Wednesday. Belle Smith led the Eagles with five goals, while Jenn Medjid and Mckenna Davis contributed three goals and two assists and one goal and four assists, respectively. In the win, seven other Eagles scored as well. Rachel Hall has been guarding the net for the most time this season, logging 34 saves in 253:12 minutes.

The Eagles have dominated the series with the Cardinals, winning the last eight matchups and leading the series 1-9. Last season, Boston College won 19-10 against Louisville at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
