The Cardinals’ defensive strength was further highlighted as they extended their winning streak to 39 games when allowing 59 or fewer points. Over the past nine seasons, they boast an impressive 146-4 record when achieving this defensive milestone.
Louisville’s ability to force turnovers was instrumental in their victory, as they capitalized on 17 turnovers by Morehead State. This season, they have consistently forced their opponents into 15 or more turnovers in each game, displaying their defensive tenacity.
Under head coach Jeff Walz, the Cardinals have excelled in the month of December, boasting a record of 96-15.
