Nakanishi joins Cards’ Signing Class

The University of Louisville’s men’s tennis team has announced Kosuke Nakanishi as their newcomer for the fall of 2023. Originally from Hiroshima, Japan, Nakanishi boasts an impressive record and skill level. He achieved an International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking of 750 in the fall of 2022, and he also bested the 46th-ranked tennis player in the world in the JA Osaka Mayor’s Cup to reach the round of 16.

Louisville’s head coach, Rodrigo da Silva, is excited about Nakanishi’s potential and work ethic. The coach stated, “Kosuke is a guy with a lot of potential. He is very hungry to practice and find ways to improve his game and we are excited to start working with him and get ready for the season.”

The National Letter-of-Intent that Nakanishi signed is a document that prospective student-athletes sign that guarantees their commitment to the university for one academic year. It is often associated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States.
