Merissah Russell is a talented Junior Guard from Ottawa, Ontario, currently playing for the Louisville Cardinals. In the 2022-23 season, Russell has been showing off her skills on the court, with several impressive performances.

In a game against #10 ranked Notre Dame, Russell scored 12 points and made five field goals, tying her career high. She also tied her career high for assists with three in a home win over Miami. In another game, Russell achieved a career-high 13 points, along with four rebounds, two assists, and a steal against Boston College. She particularly stood out in the fourth quarter, scoring nine of her 13 points to help her team secure the win.

Russell’s contributions to the team did not stop there. In a game against Clemson, she tallied seven points, tied a career-high of three assists, and had two steals. In a road game against Virginia, Russell set a new career high of eight rebounds, in addition to scoring nine points. In a game against Longwood, Russell had her best performance yet, scoring 11 points, making four field goals, three steals, and three three-pointers, all career-highs. She also tied her career high of two steals and set a season high of five points in a win against Belmont.
