Louisville guard Mykasa Robinson has been a standout performer for the Cardinals during the 2022-23 college basketball season. The graduate student from Ashland, Kentucky has been a key contributor on both ends of the floor, earning recognition on the ACC First Team All-Tournament and the ACC All-Defensive Team.
Robinson’s impressive play was on full display during the ACC Tournament, where she led the Cardinals with a career-high tying nine rebounds in the championship game against Virginia Tech. She also contributed eight points, two assists, and one steal in the victory, which marked her sixth consecutive game with eight or more rebounds.
In the semifinals, Robinson scored in double figures with 10 points, led the team with five assists, and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, in addition to recording two steals in the win over No. 1 seed Notre Dame. She followed up with another impressive performance in the quarterfinals, leading the Cards with 10 assists, eight rebounds, four points, and three steals in the win over Wake Forest.
Robinson’s outstanding play continued throughout the regular season, with several standout performances. In a game against No. 10 Notre Dame, Robinson tied a career high with nine rebounds and added six points, five assists, and three steals. This marked the third consecutive game in which she had recorded nine rebounds.
Against Georgia Tech, Robinson tallied four points, four rebounds, two assists, a block, and multiple steals for the second game in a row. She returned from an injury to lead the team with four assists and two steals in the game against Duke.
Robinson set several career highs during the season, including 12 assists and five steals in a win over Syracuse, and eight made free throws in a win over Kentucky. She also set the program record for career games played in a home win against Boston College.
Overall, Robinson’s strong all-around play has helped the Cardinals achieve success this season. She has consistently led the team in assists and rebounds, while also making significant contributions on the defensive end of the court. As the Cardinals continue their postseason run, Robinson will be a key player to watch.
