by

The University of Louisville softball team has released their schedule of camps for the upcoming month of January, giving aspiring athletes an opportunity to learn from the best. Led by the UofL softball staff and players, these camps will take place at the Trager Center.

The first camp, Winter Prospect Warm up, is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2024. The session will begin at 4:00 PM ET and conclude at 6:30 PM ET. Participants are expected to arrive for check-in at 3:40 PM ET. This camp is open to students in the graduating classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027. During this session, attendees will have the chance to learn defense and offense fundamentals from the skilled Louisville Softball players and coaching staff. The format of the session will mimic that of a competitive college team practice.

Following the Winter Prospect Warm up is the Winter Prospect Skills Camp, which will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The camp will start at 9:00 AM ET and conclude at 12:00 PM ET. Check-in for participants will begin at 8:40 AM ET. This camp, like the previous one, is open to students in the graduating classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027. During this camp, attendees will receive instruction in position-specific defense fundamentals such as infield, outfield, pitching, and catching. Offense skills and in-game strategies for success will also be covered by the Louisville Softball players and coaching staff.

For more information and to register for these camps, interested individuals can visit the camp website. Any questions can be directed to assistant coach Griffin Joiner at [email protected] or assistant coach DeeDee Morris at [email protected].

It is important to note that these camps are open to all entrants, regardless of age, grade level, or gender. They are not owned or operated by the University of Louisville, but rather a great opportunity for aspiring softball players to learn from some of the best in the sport.
