In an exciting announcement, Kentucky women’s soccer players Jordyn Rhodes and Grace Phillpotts have been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as All-Southeast Region honorees. Rhodes, a forward hailing from South Lebanon, Ohio, secured a spot on the First Team, while Phillpotts, a defender from Fenton, Mich., was selected for the Third Team.
This is Rhodes’ third consecutive year receiving this honor. She was named to the Second Team in 2021 and the Third Team in 2020. Rhodes had an outstanding season, leading the Wildcats with nine goals and 22 points. In an impressive feat, she became Kentucky’s all-time leading goal scorer with a total of 45 career goals. Her exceptional performance also earned her a spot on the All-SEC First Team and she was twice named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Phillpotts, a senior transfer from DePaul, made an immediate impact in her first season with the Wildcats. Starting in all 19 matches, she contributed four assists and six shots on goal. Phillpotts played a crucial role in the team’s defense, which only allowed 12 goals throughout the season and achieved nine clean sheets. This recognition from the United Soccer Coaches adds to her already impressive postseason award collection, which also includes All-SEC Second Team honors.
