Louisville, KY – Mario Rincon, assistant coach of UofL men’s tennis, has recently accepted an offer that will see him take on the role of a national coach for the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Rincon expressed his gratitude to Rodrigo da Silva, head coach of UofL men’s tennis, for bringing him to the University and providing him with the opportunity to work for one of the top athletic departments in the country.
During his time in Louisville, Rincon has been an integral part of the team’s success and enjoyed every moment of his four-year tenure. He expressed his fondness for the team and stated that he will miss his colleagues dearly. Rincon also acknowledged the incredible culture that da Silva has built within the team, recognizing that the Louisville team will continue to make a significant impact both nationally and in the ACC.
Rincon considers his appointment as the USTA National Coach a tremendous honor and is grateful for the growth and development he experienced during his time at UofL. Louisville will always hold a special place in his heart and that of his family.

He will have the opportunity to travel and coach in major international tournaments. Additionally, Rincon will have voting power in wild card draws at the prestigious U.S. Open.
