In the women’s 6,000-meter race, the Wildcats finished 17th with a total of 463 points. Ally Kruger led the way for the team, crossing the line in 44th place with a time of 20:57.0. Julz Williams and Mollie Roden followed closely behind in 95th and 97th place, recording times of 21:38.8 and 21:41.2 respectively. Jenna Schwinghamer finished in 115th place with a time of 21:54.5, while Phoebe McCowan rounded out the scoring in 127th place with a time of 22:06.1.

Head coach Harry Mullins spoke highly of Adkins, stating, “Sam is going to be the perfect fit for our program… He has all the tools and work ethic to be a great shooter for us.” This endorsement from the coach reflects the high expectations they have for Adkins as he joins the team.

Game Preview

The UNF Invite will showcase teams from Kentucky, Central Florida, South Florida, University of Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Virginia Tech, Charlotte, Nebraska, and the host North Florida. It promises to be a competitive event with top teams from across the country.

Coach Borst expressed her delight with the new class, stating, “We have a really strong class coming in next fall, and it’s a group that we are very proud of. It’s a diverse group of players from near and far, who all bring something different to our team. I think Big Blue Nation will love what they all bring to the table. We have big shoes to fill within the Kentucky women’s golf program in the years to come, and I know that these players, along with our returners next season, are ready for that task and more!”

The Kentucky Pitching Academy will take place on November 27, December 4, and December 11 from 6pm to 7pm. Pitchers must bring their own catcher, whether it be a parent, guardian, teammate, friend, or sibling. Camp check-in will open up 30 minutes prior to the start time.

The women’s team will kick off the action with a 6,000-meter race at 11:00 a.m. EDT, followed by the men’s 10,000-meter race at noon EDT. Assistant coach Hakon DeVries is hoping for a strong performance from the teams, following a disappointing showing at the conference championship meet.

The standout performer of the game was freshman Rob Dillingham, who led all scorers with an impressive 17 points. Fellow freshman guard D.J. Wagner also had a solid performance, contributing 13 points. Additionally, freshmen Justin Edwards and Reed Sheppard each scored 12 points, while senior Antonio Reeves added 11 points to the scoreboard.

White commends Milroe for his high level of play, describing him as extremely talented and a skilled operator of the offense. He acknowledges Milroe’s ability to make plays when the pocket collapses but also emphasizes his consistently strong ball placement and ability to connect with his playmakers. White believes Milroe is currently performing at a top-notch level.
