UK Athletics Maintains Impressive GPA Streak with 23rd Consecutive 3.0 Semester
This marks the second-highest GPA for a semester in the history of UK Athletics, just shy of the record set in the spring of 2020. The GPA of 3.534 achieved in the spring of 2020, which was aided by the pass/fail policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, exceeded the previous record set in spring 2014.

Under the guidance of head coach John Calipari, the University of Kentucky has dominated the SEC awards. With a total of 129 weekly SEC honors, Kentucky has claimed more awards than any other school during Calipari’s tenure. This includes an impressive 98 SEC Freshman of the Week accolades and 31 SEC Player of the Week honors. Sheppard adds to Kentucky’s legacy, as he joins teammate D.J. Wagner as a two-time recipient of the Freshman of the Week honor.

Not only did Reeves shine, but his teammates also delivered strong performances. Tre Mitchell contributed 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Reed Sheppard had 11 points and a career-high 11 assists, setting a new record for most assists by any player in a Kentucky-Louisville game.
