During his high school days, Weaver established a foundation called “15 for Freddie” as a way to honor his grandfather, Freddie Weaver. Head coach Rodrigo da Silva expressed his excitement about the new signing, stating, “We are super excited to add Enrique to our team this year. He has been playing and competing at the highest level, and he will bring a lot of experience to our roster.”

Among the 14 NCAA Tournament teams on Louisville’s schedule, two reached the College World Series, two others made it to the Super Regionals, and four more reached the Regional finals. McDonnell has consistently led the Cardinals to success, and this schedule will test his team’s mettle.

Center Bryan Hudson, who was recently awarded the prestigious ACC Jacobs Blocking Trophy, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to compete for a championship. “Competing for a championship is always the goal at the beginning of the season,” said Hudson. “So to have gotten to this point is definitely encouraging for all of us. We’re excited to be practicing still and getting ready for the game.”

Stoops led Kentucky to a 38-31 win over the No. 9 Louisville Cardinals on the road last Saturday, which is the highest-ranked win in his tenure. This victory also extended Stoops’ school records for most wins (73) and most wins against ranked opponents (13). It marks the fourth consecutive season that Stoops’ squad has defeated two ranked opponents. The Wildcats also earned the title of Cheez-It National Team of the Week for their outstanding performance.

Hudson, a redshirt senior from Georgetown, Kentucky, stands at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 305 pounds. He has played in 58 games over his collegiate career, having previously played at Virginia Tech before transferring to Louisville. Hudson has been an integral part of the Louisville Cardinals’ offensive line, helping pave the way for the team’s success.
