The Kentucky Track and Field team has been preparing for this competition for months.

Kayla Kowalik, who secured a spot on the first team, had a batting average of .442, 80 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 24 RBI. Kowalik also successfully stole 15 of 17 bases during the season and was named to start in all 54 games that the Wildcats played.

Kauffmann led Kentucky to an impressive 27-5 record during the 2023 season, as well as an SEC Tournament Championship, an appearance in the semifinals at ITA Indoors, and a spot in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament.

Huth is not new to college basketball, as she previously served as an assistant coach at Oregon State for the past two seasons, where she coached the Pac-12 Freshman and Sixth Player of the Year

Couch led the nation in pass completions, ranked second in completion percentage, passing yardage, and touchdown passes and fourth in total offense.

With Draxl and Ayeni’s achievements this year, Kentucky now has a total of 52 All-American selections.

This year’s honorees include Alexander Justus, Beck O’Daniel, Joshua Sobota, Jacob Sobota, Aaron Withrow, Bryanna Lucas, Phoebe McCowan, Sydney Steely, Siobhan Szerencsits, and Juliann Williams,. 

This recognition brings Kentucky Softball’s total number of NFCA All-America honors to eight, with six different players having received them.

The players are not only happy with making it to the postseason but they are also determined to win.

On the field, Jackson was vital to the men’s 4×100-meter relay team that placed sixth in the finals at the SEC Outdoor Championships
