Known by his teammates as “The Hammer,” Damge has been an exceptional student-athlete throughout his four years at Kentucky. Hailing from Mason, Ohio, he boasts an impressive 3.93 grade-point average as a Finance and Accounting major.

In a thrilling overtime game, No. 16 Kentucky emerged victorious against Saint Joseph’s with a final score of 96-88. This win improves Kentucky’s record to 4-1 on the season, while Saint Joseph’s falls to 3-2. With this win, Kentucky now leads the series between the two teams with a 3-0 record.

After securing their 10th win of the season with a 38-31 victory over Miami, the Cardinals earned a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) title game, marking their first appearance in any conference championship. Brohm expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishments but emphasized that their focus now turns to the important rivalry game against Kentucky.

Head coach Bret Lundgaard praised the team’s performance, saying, “It was a great three days of racing for our team. We competed well and showed our personalities as we continue to build our competitive identity.” Lundgaard also expressed excitement about using the information gained from the invitational to prepare for the second half of the season and work towards their end of season goals.

Football season is wrapping up around the Commonwealth with at least one program securing a playoff spot and WKU still fighting for a Bowl.

The Cardinals have had a strong season so far with a record of 23-3 overall and 14-2 in the ACC. They are coming off back-to-back sweeps over Duke and North Carolina, with several players stepping up offensively. Outside hitter Charitie Luper led the way with 23 kills and two aces, while middle blocker Cara Cresse won ACC Defensive Player of the Week with 17 kills and 11 blocks. Outside hitter Anna DeBeer and opposite hitter Aiko Jones also contributed to the team’s success.

South Carolina has had a mixed bag of results this season, with their wins characterized by high-scoring performances. They have averaged an impressive 42.3 points per game in their victories. On the flip side, in five of their six losses, they have failed to score more than 20 points. The only exception was a close 41-39 defeat to Florida.

Kentucky will look to bounce back in their next game against Stonehill, which will take place on Friday at home as part of the Wildcat Challenge. This game will be televised on SEC Network+.

Coach Elzy also expressed disappointment over the team’s 28 missed layups, emphasizing the need for better fundamentals. She stressed the importance of finishing through contact and highlighted that layups, free throws, and good defense are key to winning games.

Running back Ray Davis understands the importance of taking the crowd out of the game early. He recognizes that the fans will be loud and supportive of their home team, but that won’t faze the Cats. Davis emphasizes the need for the team to stay composed and focused on their own performance on the field.
