The Cardinals’ 56-game slate will see them face off against five teams that were ranked in the final ESPN.com USA Softball or USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association top-25 last season. In addition, they will go up against nine NCAA tournament teams, including Women’s College World Series runner-up Florida State.

The Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) is the top summer collegiate softball organization in the country, featuring a 25-game schedule, all-star event, and playoff.

Over the past two seasons, Gray has tallied 58 straight wins in the circle, which is an impressive feat for any athlete.

Kayla Kowalik, who secured a spot on the first team, had a batting average of .442, 80 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 24 RBI. Kowalik also successfully stole 15 of 17 bases during the season and was named to start in all 54 games that the Wildcats played.

Roby played for the Louisville Cardinals for five years, from 2019 to 2023, and was one of the program’s most highly decorated student-athletes.

This recognition brings Kentucky Softball’s total number of NFCA All-America honors to eight, with six different players having received them.
