UK Athletics Announces Season Ticket Info for 2023-24 Gymnastics, Volleyball and Women’s Basketball

by Linus Binks

The University of Kentucky’s women’s sports teams – gymnastics, volleyball, and women’s basketball – are all set to call Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center their home for the 2023-24 season, while the Memorial Coliseum is undergoing an $82 million renovation. The six-time defending Southeastern Conference Champion Kentucky volleyball team will have 10 home matches inside Rupp Arena, which includes a match with defending national semifinalist Pittsburgh and nine SEC matches. Gymnastics and women’s basketball will announce their schedules in the coming weeks and months. Season ticket renewals for all three teams are available online through fans’ My UK Account.

Parking in the Rupp Arena High Street Lot will be free this year based on availability on a first come, first served basis for volleyball, gymnastics, and women’s basketball fans. A limited number of season parking permits will be available for purchase in the Rupp Arena Garage accessible via Manchester Street for those interested in a guaranteed parking space for all regular-season games. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a date closer to the start of each season.

Gymnastics season tickets range from $35 for general admission to $55 for premium chairback season tickets while volleyball season tickets range from $70 for general admission to $145 for courtside seating. In comparison, women’s basketball season tickets range from $60 for general admission to $130 for courtside seating, and the games held at Transylvania University’s Clive M. Beck Center will be ticketed separately.

Memorial Coliseum renovation will modernize a facility originally completed in 1950 and will expand the ability to host campus events such as guest speakers and seminars, the arts, step shows, and student-led philanthropic events. Memorial Coliseum includes various support facilities and is home to four women’s athletics teams, including basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, and STUNT. The modernization will encompass all the building interior and bring climate-control improvements; modern seating for campus, community, and athletic events; systems-related upgrades such as life safety, security, lighting, and sound; and improve facility overall experience for the female student-athletes who represent Kentucky so well. The construction process for Memorial Coliseum renovation project is underway, and the athletic competition areas will be ready for use in the fall of 2024, while additional areas are being completed.
