UK Dance Team Finishes UDA National Competition

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky dance team recently returned from their trip to Orlando where they competed in the Universal Dance Association national competition. The team performed exceptionally well, finishing in 10th place in the highly competitive Division 1A Hip Hop competition on Saturday. This follows their impressive third-place finish in the Division 1A Game Day competition the day before.

The Kentucky dance team has been making waves in the dance world, with their best-ever finish in both the Game Day and Hip Hop competitions occurring just last year in 2021. In a remarkable display of skill and talent, the team claimed the second-place spot in both events. This achievement further establishes Kentucky’s reputation as a powerhouse in the dance community.

Despite not taking home top honors in this year’s competition, the team remains motivated and determined to continue pushing the boundaries of their performance and to achieve even greater success in the future. Coach Jenna Johnson expressed her pride in the team’s efforts, stating, “Our dancers gave it their all and delivered an incredible performance.
