Joe Lunardi currently has the Cats sitting higher than anyone anticipated at the #6 seed.
Lunardi has them in the South region, in Louisville as he predicted a few weeks ago with a #10 seed here. If he’s right, that means if the Cats make a run then fans will more than likely take over the city of Louisville for a few days in March. Great news for the state of Kentucky and also great news for University of Kentucky Fans. Lunardi just a week or so ago had the Cats at #10 but he’s seeing now what everyone else in the country is seeing; The Cats Are On Fire!
He has them playing either Marquette or Wisconsin from the play in round.
Other noted teams in the same bracket are Alabama, Texas, Duke and Indiana. If the Cats can get past this first round then they could meet up with Duke down the line.
Of course, all this changes daily but it’s great news for the Kentucky Wildcats fans that have seen an up and down year so far. The Cats feel like they are on a run and peaking at the time right time.
Sure, it’s all speculation but it certainly is good for Kentucky and BBN.
The Big Ten leads the way at this point with 9 teams in and the SEC is in a close second with 8.
