In a highly-anticipated match-up, the No. 9 Kentucky gymnastics team is preparing to face off against SEC opponent No. 11 Auburn this Friday evening. The dual meet is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST at Neville Arena.
Kentucky started their 50th season off in style at the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships in Las Vegas last Friday. The team put up an impressive score of 196.775, finishing second in their quad meet against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 14 Michigan State, and No. 20 Michigan. Fifth-year senior Raena Worley had an exceptional performance, winning her 21st all-around title and setting a new career best on bars with a score of 9.975. Notably, four freshmen also made their NCAA DI gymnastics debut.
The last time Kentucky and Auburn faced each other was during the 2023 season at Memorial Coliseum, where the Wildcats emerged victorious with a final score of 197.675-196.450. The two programs have a closely contested all-time series record of 10-9 in favor of Kentucky, with their first meeting taking place in 2007.
Fans eager to catch all the action can watch the meet live on SEC Network, with live stats available on the official team website.
