Kentucky Diving is offering an exciting opportunity for divers to enhance their skills at the upcoming 2023 Winter Camp. This two-day camp is designed to provide focused training in 2-3 specific areas for each diver, with a small athlete to coach ratio to ensure maximum teaching and learning.
Prior to the camp, the coaches will communicate with each participant and their parent or guardian to determine their specific goals and tailor the training accordingly. This personalized approach ensures that each diver gets the most out of their experience.
Participants will have access to state-of-the-art facilities at the Lancaster Aquatic Center, including dry land training areas with spotting systems and video feedback capabilities. This will allow coaches to analyze technique and provide valuable guidance for skill refinement. Additionally, a trampoline with overhead spotting rig will be utilized to simulate dives without the impact of water, while a dry diving board with a landing pit will facilitate work on take-offs and multiple somersaults. All of this will be complemented by video feedback to aid in observation and instruction.
The highlight of the camp is the opportunity to work closely with Ted Hautau, the Head Diving Coach of the University of Kentucky and the 2021 SEC Men’s Diving Coach of the Year, along with NCAA All American athletes. This invaluable guidance from experienced professionals is sure to take participants’ diving abilities to the next level.

The first day will include dry land training from 9:45 am to 12:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
