by Brad Ayer

In an exciting announcement, the University of Kentucky STUNT team has unveiled their schedule for the upcoming 2024 season. Head coach Blair Bergmann and his squad are eager to hit the mat as they enter their third varsity season.

To kick things off, the Cats will engage in a Blue-White scrimmage on January 13 at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington. This will provide an excellent opportunity for the team to warm up and showcase their skills.

On February 3, Kentucky will commence their regular season with a doubleheader at the Clive M. Beck Center at Transylvania University in Lexington. The Cats will take on both Ashland and Alma in what promises to be an intense and action-packed day of competition.

Following a brief break, the team will head to Dallas for the Dallas Baptist Tournament on February 16 and 17. A week later, on February 25, Kentucky will travel to Michigan to participate in the Davenport Tournament, where they will face off against fierce opponents.

March brings more challenging tournaments for the Cats. On March 9 and 10, they will partake in the UT-Martin Tournament in Tennessee. Shortly after, from March 14-16, Kentucky will head back to the state of Tennessee for the Trevecca Nazarene Tournament.

The team will then embark on a trip to California, where they will take on Vanguard University in a doubleheader on March 20. This will be followed by the highly anticipated event, The Joust at California Baptist, taking place on March 22 and 23.

As the regular season winds down, Kentucky will travel to Ashland University on April 6 for their final tournament before the postseason. And speaking of the postseason, the Cats have the honor of hosting the STUNT Division I National Championships from April 12-14 at the Beck Center in Lexington.

Coach Bergmann and his team are working relentlessly to prepare for these competitions, determined to make a mark in the world of STUNT. Stay updated on all the latest news and information about UK Athletics and STUNT by visiting www.ukathletics.com.
