Tshiebwe’s individual accomplishments over his two seasons with the Wildcats are truly remarkable and place him in a league of his own.

He acknowledged the incredible support he has received from the people and fans, and he remains appreciative of his achievements with the Wildcats.

Before we close the book on the 2022-2023 Kentucky basketball season I think it’s important that we look back at the team and how they performed and what we can look forward to from them in 2023-2024.  First up is Oscar. 

When Tshiebwe announced his decision to return to Kentucky for a second season, he was determined to win a National Title.

Keyontae Johnson, who has been friends with Tshiebwe since high school, acknowledges the challenge ahead. “It’s going to be a team effort.

At this rate, it would surprise no one if he actually beats that record at some point in the tournament. And, if he decides to come back for another year he could do it in next years NCAA tournament.

Despite his recent behavior, Tshiebwe remains a physical force on the court and is a difficult player for most centers to defend against.

Tshiebwe joins an elite group of Wildcats, including Forest Sale, Ralph Beard, Alex Groza, Cliff Hagan, Cotton Nash, Louie Dampier, Dani Issel, and Walker, who have earned this distinction at least twice

Tshiebwe is not only averaging a double-double this season but is also breaking records in the process. He is leading the country for the second straight year with 13.1 rebounds per contest
