Kentucky’s NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) for the freshman classes of 2012-13 through 2015-16 was an impressive 92 percent, matching the record set in each of the past three years. This continuous improvement showcases the dedication of the student-athletes and the unwavering support from the coaching staff and the CATS (Center for Academic and Tutorial Services).

In addition to his All-American selection, Brown also received a third-team All-America honor from College Football Network. He was further recognized as a second-team All-SEC choice by the league’s coaches and The Associated Press. These accolades speak to his impact both within the conference and nationally.

With a total of 11.0 sacks, Gillotte currently ranks eighth nationally in that category. This impressive statistic also places him at ninth on the school’s single-season list. The Boca Raton native has consistently performed at a high level, starting in all 13 games for his team. He has recorded a career-best 45 tackles and 14.5 tackles for loss, contributing significantly to Louisville’s defense, which is nationally ranked at 16th.

Brown, a sophomore from Nashville, led the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and ranked second in the nation with an impressive 31.7 yards per kickoff return. He was the only player in the SEC, and one of five in the nation, to score two kickoff return touchdowns in the 2023 season. Brown’s remarkable achievements tied Kentucky records for most kickoff return touchdowns in both a season and a career.

Brooklyn DeLeye, a freshman on the UK team, understands that Arkansas will be coming full force. She acknowledges that beating a team three times in a row is no easy feat, stating, “Obviously, they’re an amazing team. They’re going to be coming for us. It’s honestly hard to beat a team three times in a row.”

The University of Louisville dominated the All-East Region team, with six players earning spots on the First Team. The six Cardinals recognized were Cara Cresse, Anna DeBeer, Elle Glock, Aiko Jones, Charitie Luper, and Elena Scott. Additionally, Phekran Kong received an Honorable Mention All-East Region selection, solidifying the Cardinals’ dominance in the region.

The highly anticipated fourth-annual adidas MLS College Showcase is scheduled to take place from December 6th to 9th in Phoenix, Arizona. It is a closed-door scouting event exclusively sanctioned by the NCAA. This showcase serves as a platform for the top 44 college players, ranging from freshmen to graduate students, to showcase their abilities in various training sessions, testing, interviews, and match play.

Allen’s exceptional performance in the men’s high jump secured him the top spot in the nation with a final height of 2.24m (7-4.25). He achieved this impressive feat on his third and final attempt, after flawlessly clearing the bar in his previous three jumps.

Barion Brown, a talented sophomore from Nashville, had a standout season. He ranked first in the SEC and second in the nation in kickoff return yards, averaging 31.7 yards per return. He was also one of just five players in the country to score two kickoff return touchdowns this season. Brown showcased his versatility by leading the team in pass receptions with 40 and contributing 439 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for 51 yards and 10 rushing attempts for 121 yards.

DeLeye’s impressive statistics speak for themselves, with an average of 71 kills per set, earning her the title of SEC Freshman of the Year. Alongside her, teammates Eleanor Beavin, Emma Grome, Reagan Rutherford, and Azhani Tealer have also been recognized for their outstanding performances. This talented group of players has earned spots on the AVCA’s All-Southeast Region Team, which is comprised of teams from the SEC, Atlantic Sun, Big South, Southern Conference, SWAC, and Sun Belt.
