This game marked Sheppard’s highest scoring output in an SEC matchup this season and the fourth time he has achieved the feat of scoring 20 points or more in a single game. Unfortunately for Kentucky, they were without the services of freshman guards Justin Edwards and D.J. Wagner, both of whom missed the game due to injury.

Kentucky is aiming to get back on track after a runner-up finish at the 2024 Lexington Weekend of the ITA Kickoff Weekend, where they fell to Alabama in the regional final. Leading the way for the Wildcats is sophomore Charlelie Cosnet, who remains undefeated in singles matches this season. The team also boasts a strong group of freshmen, including Jack Loutit, Matt Rankin, and Eli Stephenson, who have a combined 9-1 singles record.

Fans who can’t make it to the arena can catch all the action on SEC Network+, with Jeff Piecoro and Christi Thomas providing the commentary. Alternatively, they can listen to the play-by-play on UK Sports Network and/or 630 AM WLAP, with Darren Headrick, the Voice of the Wildcats, on the mic.

The Pro Bowl Games are scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 1st, from 7-8:30 p.m. ET at the Nicholson Fieldhouse, University of Central Florida. Additionally, the flag football game will be held on Sunday, February 4th, from 3-6 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium. Fans can catch the Pro Bowl Games on ESPN, while the flag football game will be televised on ESPN, ABC, Disney XD, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes, and NFL+.

The Wildcats will also have two national TV appearances during their opening Southeastern Conference (SEC) series. The games on March 9th and 10th will both be noon ET starts and will be aired live on SEC Network. These are just the beginning of a total of eight games that the Wildcats will have televised on SEC Network this season.

Rhodes has set an impressive record at the University of Kentucky with 45 career goals, making her the highest-scoring women’s soccer player in the school’s history. She also ranks third in points (104), second in games played (85), and second in shots (234). Notably, Rhodes is a two-time First-Team All-SEC selection, one of only six players in the program’s history to receive this honor multiple times. She has also been recognized as a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region honoree.

Reeves joins a group of front-runners for the prestigious honor. Players who didn’t make the late season list are still eligible for the Wooden Award National Ballot, which consists of the top 15 players who have proven their qualifications to their universities. The Wooden Award All American Team will be revealed during the “Elite Eight” week of the NCAA Tournament, and the winner will be announced following the tournament’s conclusion in April.
