LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Joe Franklin, the director of track & field and cross country for the University of Louisville, has revealed the indoor schedule for the 2023-24 season. The Cardinals will kick off their campaign with five consecutive home meets, two of which will be held on split weekends. All of these meets will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

On December 2, the Cardinals will start the season with a split between the Commonwealth College Opener in Louisville and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Massachusetts. After the new year, competition will resume with the Rod McCravy Memorial Invite on January 12-13 and the Bellarmine Open on January 19. The team will then host the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 26-27.

As February rolls in, the team will split once again. Half of the squad will stay home to compete in the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on February 2, while the other half will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on February 2-3. The regular season will conclude with the Eagle Invite hosted by Boston College on February 9-10.

Select athletes will then return to Albuquerque for the USATF Indoor Championships on February 16-17. The Cardinals will make their way back to The TRACK at New Balance in Boston for the final two meets of the season. The ACC Indoor Championships are scheduled for February 22-24, and qualifying athletes will wrap up the indoor slate with the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 8-9.

This schedule sets the stage for an exciting indoor season for the Louisville Cardinals track & field and cross country team. Kentucky sports enthusiasts should mark their calendars and make sure not to miss these thrilling competitions.
