Former Louisville Cardinal Carlik Jones has spent some time in the G-League where of late he’s been excelling. In the month of February Jones was named the G-League player of the month.
Jones, at 6’1″ 185 lbs, signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in December of 2022. He’s seen limited action with the Bulls but on Feb. 16th he logged 21 minutes, three boards, two assists and a point.
Earlier this week, Goran Dragic was waived by the Bulls and is rumored to possibly be joining the Milwaukee Bucks. On the heels of his departure the Bulls decided it would be good to convert Jones’ contract to a full contract and add him to the roster.
Jones went un-drafted in the 2021 NBA Draft but has been grinding it out in the G-League and making a name for himself. During Jones’ time in the G-League with the Windy City Bulls he’s averaged 26 points, 7 assists,4.5 boards and 1.4 steals while shooting a scorching 49 % from the field and 36% from beyond the arc.
Before the Windy City Bulls he spent time with the Texas Legends of the G-League.
Jones played for the Louisville Cardinals during the 2020-2021 season after transferring in from Radford where he played for 3 seasons. At Louisville Jones averaged 16.8 points per game and shot 81.5 from the free-throw line.
