The Wildcats will kick off their eighth season under Coach Mingione with two away weekends before their home opener at Kentucky Proud Park on February 20 against Morehead State. May’s ascension to the NCBWA President role comes after serving on the organization’s Board of Directors and as the Vice President in 2023. Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, May has been the primary baseball publicist since the 2017 season and has worked for UK Athletics Communications and Public Relations since September of 2016. Throughout his tenure, May has played a crucial role in promoting two of the most successful seasons in Kentucky baseball history, specifically the 2017 and 2022 NCAA Lexington Regional Championships.
