Louisville men’s basketball head coach Kenny Payne is making waves in the recruitment world as he heads into his second year. With commitments from two players and two other recruits, the Cardinals’ 2023 class is now ranked 12th on 247 Sports’ national leaderboard.
This is 14 spots higher than where they finished in the 2022 cycle. The first recruit for the 2023 class was Kaleb Glenn, a Louisville native and former Male High School player, who pledged to former coach Chris Mack in 2021. Glenn was later joined by Curtis Williams, a four-star small forward from Michigan.
The newest addition to the team is Dennis Evans III, a 7-foot-1 California native, who committed to Louisville on March 12. He is the highest-rated recruit Payne has landed so far as a head coach. Koron Davis, a junior-college prospect from Los Angeles Southwest, has also committed to Louisville. Davis previously attended Paris Junior College in Texas and has been averaging 25.7 points per game as a sophomore. Keep an eye on the Cardinals as they continue to add talent to their 2023 class.
