The Kentucky Softball team has secured a spot on national television a total of 12 times this season, as announced by ESPN and its partners. The Wildcats will be making their long-awaited return to the prestigious Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational in February, and two of their games will be nationally televised. The team’s opener against North Carolina on February 15th will be shown on ACC Network, with Mark Neely and Jenny Dalton-Hill providing the commentary. Their matchup against No. 5 Texas on February 17th will be televised on Longhorn Network, featuring Women’s College World Series announcers Beth Mowins, Jessica Mendoza, and Michele Smith.
The Wildcats will also have two national TV appearances during their opening Southeastern Conference (SEC) series. The games on March 9th and 10th will both be noon ET starts and will be aired live on SEC Network. These are just the beginning of a total of eight games that the Wildcats will have televised on SEC Network this season.
When the Wildcats visit the Swamp in Gainesville, their series opener against the University of Florida will be televised at 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network, with the series finale being aired at noon ET on ESPN2. The team’s games against Texas A&M and Georgia will each have a single game televised on SEC Network. However, fans will be treated to a special three-game series against Auburn, with all three games airing on SEC Network. The Monday night game will have a standalone window at 7 p.m. ET.
The regular season will wrap up with a rare Thursday, Friday, Saturday series in Knoxville. The Thursday night game will be televised at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network. Additional television windows may open up as the season progresses and weather impacts series. In addition to the televised games on linear television, all games not aired on television in the SEC and all home games will be shown on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app.
