Louisville Football Recruiting News: Top 50 Prospect To Visit Louisville

Jeff Brohm and his coaching staff at the University of Louisville are currently on a successful recruiting streak. Since taking over in December at his alma mater, they were able to secure one of the top recruiting classes in school history and add 12 players from the transfer portal.

With two commitments already in the Class of 2024, including a five-star and a four-star, the U of L staff is now focusing on the Class of 2025 prospects. The first confirmed prospect to visit U of L this spring is Jarcoby Hopson, a four-star safety/hybrid from Lake Cormorant High School in Mississippi.

Hopson, who is ranked as the No. 44 player nationally in the 2025 cycle and the No. 2 overall prospect in Mississippi for the 2025 class, will be on an unofficial visit to U of L on Monday. He was offered by new U of L cornerbacks coach Steve Ellis in early February and has also been on visits to Florida State and Auburn. Hopson confirmed his visit via social media and is expected to be accompanied by his teammate, four-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin.

In the 247Sports Composite rankings, Hopson is listed as the No. 6 linebacker and weighs 205 pounds with a height of 6 feet 1 inch. His visit to U of L marks an important opportunity for the university to showcase its football program and potentially secure a talented recruit for the upcoming season.
