Kentucky snatches defeat from the jaws of victory with a 94-91 OT loss to the Florida Gators in Rupp Arena.

The Pro Bowl Games are scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 1st, from 7-8:30 p.m. ET at the Nicholson Fieldhouse, University of Central Florida. Additionally, the flag football game will be held on Sunday, February 4th, from 3-6 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium. The Cardinals collectively scored a 14-over-par 574, trailing Florida by 12 shots, who leads the tournament at 2-over-par. North Florida is also ahead of Louisville in second place, shooting 9-over-par. Louisville started their spring season on Monday with a solid performance, shooting a 3-over-par 283 in the second round.

While most of the team will be in attendance, senior Laney Frye will be wrapping up her time at the LPGA Drive On Championship in Bradenton, Florida. However, the rest of the Wildcats are ready to go head-to-head against the Hoosiers in match play.

Frye, a senior hailing from Nicholasville, Kentucky, was bestowed with a sponsor exemption, making her the sole amateur in the field. However, she will be joined by 15 other rookies, including graduates from the 2023 Epson Tour and Q-School.

Chiefly responsible for their climb in the standings was a stellar performance delivered by the UK cheerleaders on Sunday evening. While Central Florida emerged as the winners of the Division 1A Coed competition, Kentucky managed to secure the title of runners-up, beating out other formidable opponents.

The Cardinals will kick off their season with a game against Indiana State on February 16th at noon ET. The following day, they will face off against USF on their home field at 4:00 p.m. ET. The weekend will wrap up with a game against UConn on February 18th at 9:30 a.m. ET.

“You’ve got to expect to hear absolutely everything,” Mitchell explained. “People are invested in trying to get into people’s minds.”

This game promises to be an exciting matchup between two talented teams. Kentucky comes into this game with a 7-5 record, while Clemson boasts an impressive 10-2 record. Both teams will be looking to end their season on a high note with a victory.
