The day started off strong with Noah Koch securing his first event victory as a Cardinal in the men’s weight throw. Koch recorded a throw of 20.32m (66-8), which is the fifth-best toss in school history. Koch’s performance shows promise for his future with the Louisville team.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams put on an impressive performance at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invite, which took place at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center. The Cardinals secured eight podium finishes and witnessed 12 athletes achieve personal-best marks over the two-day event.

Head coach Bret Lundgaard praised the team’s performance, saying, “It was a great three days of racing for our team. We competed well and showed our personalities as we continue to build our competitive identity.” Lundgaard also expressed excitement about using the information gained from the invitational to prepare for the second half of the season and work towards their end of season goals.
