Wilson’s incredible front handspring pike with a half twist showcased her mastery of the vault. As the anchor in the first rotation of the meet, she left spectators in awe with her flawless execution. This perfect score surpassed her previous career and season best of 9.975, which she achieved last season against Auburn. With this achievement, Wilson has now secured four individual wins on the vault event.

Kentucky Gymnastics Marks 50th Anniversary with Record-Breaking Program and Perfect Scores
The night was filled with impressive performances, as junior Makenzie Wilson and fifth-year senior Raena Worley both achieved perfect scores of 10.000. These were the first perfect scores recorded by Kentucky gymnasts since Jenny Hansen competed for the team in the mid-1990s. What made these scores even more extraordinary was that they were the first ever perfect scores recorded in Rupp Arena.

The first rotation saw Kentucky dominate on the vault. Senior Isabella Magnelli and fifth-year Raena Worley set the stage with impressive scores of 9.925 and 9.900, respectively. But it was junior Makenzie Wilson who stole the show with her flawless vault. The crowd held its breath as Wilson stuck the landing, and erupted with joy when the judges awarded her a perfect 10.000. This marked the first perfect score for a UK gymnast in over 25 years, leaving Wilson overwhelmed with emotion.

Kentucky is coming off their best season start to date, with their most recent contest against No. 3 LSU resulting in a score of 197.600, their highest road score so far this season. Prior to that, they recorded a score of 197.475 against No. 13 Auburn and a score of 196.775 at the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships in Las Vegas.

The Wildcats, currently ranked eighth in the AP poll, showcased their offensive firepower in their recent win. Antonio Reeves led the team with an impressive 27-point performance, followed by Rob Dillingham with 16 points off the bench. Tre Mitchell was also efficient, scoring 15 points on a perfect shooting night.

Reeves has consistently impressed throughout the season, scoring in double figures in 15 out of 16 games. This game marked the eighth time he has scored at least 20 points, and his second consecutive game with such a performance.

Next up, the Big Blue Nation will be treated to Rockstar Night on February 9 when Kentucky takes on Missouri. Fans are encouraged to glam up and rock out at Rupp, as friendship bracelets will be handed out and exchanged. Additionally, the first 250 kids in attendance will receive heart-shaped rockstar sunglasses.
