There were two four star recruits in attendance at the Auburn vs. Kentucky game on Saturday. Travis Perry and Reed Shepherd were both in attendance. Reed Sheppard could be seen on screen during timeouts sitting behind the Kentucky bench. Didn’t catch a glimpse of Perry but word in the arena was he was in attendance.
On Perry: Coach Cal was recently seen at a Lyon County game where he watched Travis Perry scorch the opposing team for 61 points, a school-record. He made 24 of his 37 shots, including 8 for 18 three’s and 5 for 6 free throws. He also added a team high 15 rebounds for the game. Perry is the #86 in the 2024 class according to some reports.
He’s moving closer to breaking the 67 year-old scoring mark of 4,337 points set by “King” Kelly Coleman.
At this time, Perry has received a scholarship offer from the Kentucky Wildcats during an unofficial visit in June.
Perry also has received offers from Ole Miss, Vandy, Stanford, Ohio State, Virginia, Indiana, Michigan and Purdue but has yet to make a decision.
Last year he led Lyon County to their first Sweet 16 appearance since 1951.
Will the Kentucky Wildcats land both of these in-state recruits?
During the Calipari era there have only been 3 to join the Wildcats; Dominque Hawkins, Derek Willis, Donate Allen with the next and 4th in the Cal-era being Reed Shepherd.
Maybe Perry will join…
