Louisville’s men’s basketball team has a new assistant coach, Josh Jamieson, who joined the program’s coaching staff in April 2022. Jamieson, who had spent the previous 15 seasons at the University of Oregon as Director of Operations and Executive Director, will bring a wealth of experience and basketball knowledge to the Louisville program.
In his previous position, he was instrumental in the success of the Ducks basketball program, which included 11 postseason tournament appearances, 7 NCAA Tournament appearances, 4 Pac-12 regular season titles, and a school-record 33 wins in the 2016-17 season that ended with an appearance in the NCAA Final Four. Payne, Louisville’s head coach, previously worked with Jamieson at Oregon and is thrilled to have him as part of his staff. Jamieson’s duties at Oregon included scheduling, budgeting, academic support, and equipment oversight, as well as directing the Oregon Basketball Camps and managing the program’s alumni team.
Jamieson is highly regarded by his former players for his ability to build relationships and motivate players to be their best, both on and off the court. With Jamieson on board, Louisville is looking to build a championship culture and continue their success in college basketball.
