The Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship is part of the 34th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. It will take place at the Bayou Music Center in Houston on Thursday, March 30th. Chrislyn Carr, a guard from the University of Louisville, is one of the eight players selected for the event. The competition will start at 6:30 p.m. CT and will air live on ESPN2.

Carr played in all 38 games for the Cardinals this season, and she was the team’s leading three-point shooter. She made 88 three-pointers, while the second-best shooter on her team made only 58. This makes her the ninth player in her team’s history to accomplish this feat. Carr led the ACC with a 0.425 shooting percentage from beyond the arc, which ranked 13th nationally. This percentage also ranked fourth in program history for highest in a single season.

In addition to the Women’s 3-Point Championship, the night includes the King’s Hawaiian Slam Dunk Championship, the TaxAct Men’s 3-Point Championship, the Applebee’s Team Shootout, and the Rocket Mortgage Battle of the Champions. Intersport will host these events at the Bayou Music Center, which it will name Hoops House. The events will start on March 29 and continue through March 31.

State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships have been held for almost 35 years. College basketball’s most elite men’s and women’s players participate in this event. Previously, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley, Denzel Valentine, Cappie Pondexter, Katie Gearlds, Kristi Toliver, Tiffany Hayes, and Ariel Atkins have participated.
