Two Former Kentucky Wildcats Lead Lakers To Win

Former Kentucky standout Anthony Davis scored 30 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and handed out 4 assists and swatted 3 shots in the Lakers 111-108 win over Luka Doncic’s Mavericks. Former Kentucky player Jarred Vanderbilt also contributed 15 points and a jaw dropping 17 rebounds in the win.

Vanderbilt was tasked with putting pressure on Doncic throughout the game. With a high basketball IQ, Vanderbilt has proven to be an acquisition steal at the end of the trade deadline for the Lakers. He’s long and athletic and is seeing minutes for the Lakers.

The Lakers mounted a 27 point comeback versus the Mav’s. It’s the largest deficit any team in the NBA has overcome this year to come back for the win.

Also in the win, LeBron James had a foot injury that is likely to keep him out for several weeks further dampening any potential run into the playoffs.
