In a highly anticipated matchup, the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team will be facing off against Samford on Sunday, December 31st at 1 p.m. ET. In the thrilling comeback win against Lipscomb, Scherr, Tyler, and Jenkins each scored at least 20 points, marking the first time since 2015 that Kentucky had three 20+ point scorers in a game.
On the other side, Samford is averaging 59.85 points per game. They have two players averaging double-digit scoring in Masyn Marchbanks (10.3) and Carly Heidger (10.0). Emily Bowman is also a key contributor, averaging 7.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Kentucky holds a perfect 4-0 record against Samford in their all-time series. The most recent meeting between these teams took place in 2020, where the Wildcats emerged victorious with a commanding 88-54 win.
