In an exciting match-up, the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team will take on USC Upstate on Saturday, November 11 at 6 p.m. ET at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center. The game will be broadcasted on UK Sports Network and SEC Network+ with Darren Headrick providing the commentary.
Kentucky is coming off a thrilling victory in their season opener against ETSU, where they mounted an impressive nine-point comeback to secure a 74-66 win at the Clive M. Beck Center. Notably, all five starters reached double digits in scoring, led by Amiya Jenkins with 16 points. Saniah Tyler, Maddie Scherr, Ajae Petty, and Brooklynn Miles also contributed with 14, 14, 12, and 10 points respectively.
Jenkins, Tyler, and Miles made their first career starts in the ETSU game, showcasing their potential and ability to make an impact early in the season. The Wildcats demonstrated resilience and determination as they overcame a two-point halftime deficit and battled their way to victory. This marked the first time since their historic win against Alabama in the 2023 SEC Tournament that the Cats secured a win after trailing at halftime.
The win against ETSU not only extended Kentucky’s streak of season-opening victories to 15, but it also marked their first game and win at the Clive M. Beck Center. As the Wildcats celebrate their 50th season of varsity basketball, they will take time throughout the season to honor the individuals and moments that have shaped their storied history.
